My Story
I have wanted to be a beauty therapist since I was a very small curly haired girl, sitting with a special family friend in awe watching her create beautiful nails.
As I worked through school I decided to follow my dream and I have been a qualified beauty therapist for 14 years. I started training in 2006, completing my NVQ levels 2 & 3 but am passionate about continuing to learn throughout my career. Over the last 16 years I have continually expanded my skills and knowledge, completing courses with a range of companies including Clarins, Jessica, Lycon and Calgel, to name just a few. Over the last 7 years I have also trained with the Lash Perfect Group in HiBrow Classic and HiBrowfx Microblading.
After having my second baby 8 years ago, I decided I wanted to set up my own business so that I could decide how I wanted to shape what I did... so I started Una & Floss! I love creating an environment that is welcoming, calm and tranquil, and I am so grateful I have the opportunity to help my clients feel at their best.
My Approach
There are some phrases that I think really sum up how I feel about my job, such as "when you love your job, you never work a day in your life" and "pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work". These are reflected in my approach where I make every effort to ensure everyone coming to Una & Floss feels pampered, unique and like their treatment is really tailored to them...which it is!

Everyone has a consultation so I can learn a bit about what they are looking for, any requests and to make sure I know about any medical or other needs that could affect their visit.

I really do want to get to know my clients so I can provide the best possible service and, if they want to, I do love a natter! I am always happy to answer any questions, allay any worries and talk through what the treatments entail, making sure that anyone coming to see me feels completely comfortable and informed.
